The Importance of Having a Warranty for Your Equipment, Large or Small

December 1, 2023

Equipment warranty coverage can give you the peace of mind you need.

When you invest in equipment, whether it's large or small, you want to make sure it will run well for a long time. Regular maintenance and correct use are great ways to extend equipment lifespan, but sometimes unexpected repairs will crop up. Warranty coverage can alleviate the stress of random repair costs and luckily the John Deere® Company offers several great coverage options.

Castongia Tractor is an authorized John Deere® dealer in Northwest Indiana, meaning we can help you find the equipment you need with the right warranty coverage options! During the buying process, make sure to ask your Sales Consultant about available coverage. If you’re on the fence about whether or not it’s important to add warranty coverage, continue reading.

1. Protects Your Investment

Warranties protect the product you purchase and the investment you make to buy that product.

They’re a testament to the trust the manufacturer has in their product, too. Generally, they cover the initial period of ownership to make sure everything operates as expected.

If something happens within that timeframe and you have a warranty, you can have the problem fixed with little to no cost. When you make the purchase, you’ll have more peace of mind with warranty coverage because you’ll know the product should operate correctly but you’ll have coverage in case it doesn’t! Just be sure to understand the coverage terms and conditions.

2. Improves Maintenance

Another important reason to have coverage is to improve your overall maintenance. If your product is under warranty, you’re more likely to keep up on maintenance and seek repairs when needed. Although most warranties don’t include regular maintenance upkeep, it will be necessary to complete maintenance tasks regularly to manage your coverage and monitor the overall condition of your machine.

Available Warranties

Protecting your investment and improving your equipment maintenance is important, but it’s also necessary to choose coverage that would work well for you. John Deere has several different coverage options for each category of equipment, including agricultural equipment, lawn and garden equipment, construction and forestry equipment, and engine and drivetrain warranties. You can select an option that makes the most sense for your equipment use!

As you navigate the buying process, our sales team can discuss the available PowerGard™ plans that are available for your equipment type and your coverage needs. It’s important to take advantage of available warranty options for your overall peace of mind, investment protection, and overall equipment maintenance and performance. Castongia Tractor has five locations in Northwest Indiana and we look forward to helping you find the solutions for your home or operation.
