Managing Your Operations Center Account and Evaluating Collected Data

After you’ve completed your seasonal tasks, whether it’s planting, tillage, application, or harvest, you’ll likely have field and equipment data to sift through. If you’ve created a John Deere Operations Center account, it’s easy to view the information you’ve organically gathered, but it might seem overwhelming to analyze what you’ve collected. Our Integrated Solutions team at Castongia Tractor can help you evaluate, digest, apply, and manage your data using Operations Center when you’ve partnered with us.

What Data Is Collected in John Deere Operations Center?

When you pair your connected equipment with your Operations Center account, data will automatically be collected and uploaded to your account dashboard. You have control over what data is shared with your partners and how your data interacts with your dealership, suppliers, operators, and others.

Linking with your dealership, business partners, and other vendors is advantageous. For example, when you partner with us, we can assist with machine health monitoring and equipment efficiency. When you partner with your fertilizer company, as another example, you can share important field information with them and monitor what they’ve applied in each field.

The modem in your machine is responsible for collecting data. It is capable of gathering engine information, like run hours and idle time. It is also able to collect information about equipment performance, in-field data, and agronomic information when you correctly setup your devices. There are many data points and the gathered information can help you make strategic operating decisions.

What Hardware is Needed to Pair with Ops Center?

Most new equipment today comes factory-equipped with the technology and hardware you need to create and connect to an Operations Center account. However, older equipment models can have the capability to do the same with a few additions.

You will need a modem, ethernet cable, and an in-cab display to collect and transfer data. For hardware specifications and machine requirements, contact your Integrated Solutions Consultant for assistance and details.

How Can Our IS Team Help You Manage Your Operations Center Account?

Once you’ve created your Operations Center account and have connected your machine, data will generate as you use your equipment. As the information comes in, it’s typically best practice to monitor the data that’s being transferred.

We mentioned above that there are several data points that are being collected through your modem as you operate your machinery. Some of the information you can gather includes grain test weights, harvest totals, crop and soil performance indicators, and machine health. We can show you how to view your machine’s productivity, fuel efficiency, DEF usage, idling hours, and other machine health features. We can also help you gather field maps for crop insurance claim assistance, agronomic data analysis, and more. Evaluating the data you gather can help you make informed decisions for calibration adjustments, application programs, and machine maintenance.

Today, data collection drives farming decisions. Having a connected machine and managing your data can increase your productivity and efficiency, and influence decisions you make about your equipment, your inputs, and your processes. Our Integrated Solutions team is here to assist you with these technologies and advancements when you need it. Text or call
